Fire Star Plus

The Fire Star Plus is a fireproof data safe, certified to EN 1143-1 Grade 1 for burglary resistance and fire-tested for 120 minutes to a data standard. Four sizes run from 49 to 189 litres, rated by LTO tape capacity as well as by volume.

Grade 1 burglary and 120-minute data protection

A data rating is stricter than a paper rating: magnetic and optical media are damaged at far lower temperatures than paper, and by humidity as well as heat, so a data safe must hold both down for the full two hours. Burglary resistance is independently tested to EN 1143-1 and certified by VdS and ECB•S in Germany, rather than rated by the company that built it. What you can insure inside depends on your policy and your market, so confirm the sum with your insurer.

Choosing your Fire Star Plus

Sizes run from 771 to 1,231 mm high, and are deep at 809 to 851 mm, so allow for the footprint as well as the height. Capacity is quoted in LTO tapes on each product as well as in litres, which is usually the more practical measure for a backup set. Choose a key lock, a 9-user code lock, or a 90-user digital lock with emergency key override. Movable shelves are included and every safe ships with floor anchor points.
