Fire Doc 500/60

The Fire Doc is a fire-resistant document safe with a 60-minute fire rating, for papers and records in an office or at home. Four sizes run from 49 to 196 litres.

60-minute fire protection for documents

The rating is a paper rating — the safe holds the inside cool enough that documents survive a one-hour fire. It is a fire safe rather than a certified burglary-rated safe, so where an insurer specifies a burglary grade as well, the Paper Star ranges combine a fire rating with EN 1143-1 or EN 14450 certification. Data media are damaged at far lower temperatures than paper and belong in a data-rated safe.

Choosing your Fire Doc

Sizes run from 487 to 1,500 mm high on a near-constant 653 to 655 mm depth and 480 to 545 mm width, so a larger model adds height rather than footprint. That deep body is what carries the fire rating, so allow for the full 655 mm when siting one against a wall. Each is secured by an electronic code lock.
