Fireproof Vertical

The Fireproof Vertical is a fire-resistant document cabinet with a 120-minute fire rating — two hours of protection for papers, files and records. Three sizes hold 128, 192 and 256 litres on a single 551 × 750 mm footprint.

120-minute fire protection for documents

The rating is a paper rating: the cabinet holds the inside cool enough that documents survive a two-hour fire. It is a fire cabinet rather than a certified burglary-rated safe, so where an insurer specifies a burglary grade as well, the Paper Star Plus range carries a 120-minute fire rating alongside EN 1143-1 Grade 1 certification. Data media are damaged at far lower temperatures than paper and belong in a data-rated safe.

Choosing your Fireproof Vertical

All three sizes share a 551 mm width and 750 mm depth and differ only in height, from 845 to 1,580 mm — so a larger cabinet takes the same floor area and simply stands taller. That deep body is what carries the two-hour rating, so allow for the full 750 mm against a wall. Choose a key lock with two keys or an electronic code lock.
